Lookin’ Back: Revelations

Almost in!

Almost in!

This is the last post on this blog this year and it’s meant to look at the year in retrospect. A lot has happened through the year and I’ve decided to do a sorta recap. It’s a chance to know a lil’ bit more about me. It’s from different angles but I hope it inspires you to look at your life in much the same way and analyse how well you’ve fared while finding points to thank God for.

Here goes…

The year has been good so far. Thank God for His protection, love and care. I’ve had a beautiful ‘family year’ that started with the regular New Year’s Day Family Reunion. It was a very lovely experience wrapping up with a heart-to-heart session that improved the bond among us.

Low point was the loss of my mum’s immediate younger sis. It was so saddening because it happened on the day her second son was having a naming ceremony. One of the ‘slump-and-die’ cases, it was too close to home. I pray she rests in perfect peace. Another more bearable loss was that of my maternal grandpa. As the man was already over a hundred, it was high time he took his leave so it wasn’t too painful. Already buried, the ceremony proper (we are Africans na…:D) will be next year. Can’t wait to make the journey to Ekiti once more.

Beyond these, the year was just normal. One of my cousins got married and my mom did her 60th. Those were extended family gathering points. There were the regular ‘fight-and-settle’ with my sis, Tee-I, the invites to visit from my big sis and the intermittent chats with my big bruv. Another time to remember was the visit to my younger ‘half-siblings’. I really can’t explain how I still feel here so I’ll just keep that to myself.

On the whole, 2011 has been good to my immediate fam’ and me. All I can say now is “Thank You Lord” and I hope for a better 2012!

This year, I lost touch with a couple of old friends and I made a few new ones (one of whom is currently more than just a friend.) I had a good time early in the year with my closest FB ladies; Annie, Presh, Erl and Omoye. Annie was especially there as an emotional support and a lifter of my psyche. She is the one person that knows a lot about my relationships. I’m extremely comfortable confiding in her and she’s longsuffering as an adviser. Few people could put up with what she’s allowed with me. Such a rare personality. Presh is my number one fan and critic here (really appreciate that.) She’s always the first to get my blog updates and sure reads them. I still can’t forget getting to see her just a few weeks after meeting her online. Such a friend remains in memory forever. Erl is one of the ‘three facebookeers’ that made my FB life highly interesting early in the year (the other two being Annie & Omoye). They made me always want to get online. She was almost (now, this is a secret) going to be asked out by me but… We still had that one date though, and it was a lovely time. Omoye is (still) my regular FB ‘disturber’. I had my ‘boys’ tailing her all over FB until she disappeared and resurfaced in Kwara in service to her fatherland. Still waiting to meet her sha.

Then there are my regular close friends; Kelvin, AbPoet, Lawal, David, Krafty, Papi, Izy and Michael. Kelvin is a mentor and a friend that will always be in my close friends list any day. He’s basically the reason Issues and Tissues started. That’s how much impact he’s had on me. AbPoet is like a brother (same with David). He is one of the few I actually find it easy to rub minds with on any issue. It’s remarkable how we rarely had any major quarrels. We definitely have arguments but we both share a mutual respect of each other’s ideas. David is one that understands me the most. When you share an 11-year friendship with someone, you know it’s already beyond friendship. Now, being a business associate brings another angle and it’s been worth it so far. Lawal is an exceptional friend. He’s that kind of friend that can be tagged as RELIABLE. Sharing the same passion in a lot of areas has made our friendship grow deeper such that our differences (in religion and EPL club support, as he bleeds blue) are unnoticeable. Krafty is my business mentor. CEO of Lakraft Entertainment, he is such an energetic entrepreneur. His ability to split business and pleasure in the right places is extraordinary. He is one of the few people I know that know exactly what they want out of life and are working towards it daily. Some of the most memorable experiences I had this year came through him.

Papi is another long-term friend who I’ve shared closer moments with. Went for service last year so we didn’t get to see this year until the latter part. Always kept in touch so our friendship never really suffered. Izy is one of the biggest supporters of one my major projects and as such is going to forever be a friend to cherish. We never saw much this year then he disappeared first to his hometown, then to Jos where he works presently. How was I able to track all that? Well, we never really lost touch. Michael is one of the few I actually discuss my relationships with. Also being a business partner makes for a stronger friendship and he’s always there when needed. Another one that’s got my back any time!

Friends I can’t fail to mention are George, NonsenseBoi, Isafi, Ehi, PeeJhey, Segun, Prospect, Edge, Faith, Fateemah, TheSage, X, Dixo, Ralph, and a lot more.

I just want to thank you all for playing an important part in my life through the year. God bless you all!

Work, Biz & Finances

2011 was a year that started with so much promise but again fizzled out in terms of my business projects. One major positive, though, was attending the Daystar Business Academy. It was a place I made the contacts I needed. After the little adrenaline rush at the end of 2010 with the seminars, 2011 was supposed to keep the momentum going but it never happened mainly due to my inability to keep up. I started plans for my mag and even did design templates but I still haven’t gone anywhere with the plans yet. It wasn’t for lack of trying, though, as I actually made some moves but… *sigh*. Anyway, 2012 is another opportunity to make it work and this time, I’m ready to GO!

More on the business side, Lakraft (one of my many affiliations) got really busy towards the end of the year. We set up at the British Council event in early December and also at M2’s Networking Party the same week. It was crazy and fun! Plus the cash came in, too, and I won a raffle as bonus! Platform Naija (another affiliation) I got a couple of proposals written and helped another friend (yet another affiliation) get his company name registered. In all, the year ended more like a platform for 2012 to explode, God-willing!

Work was just on the same level as before and the change I hoped for never came. This meant finances never changed much (which is kinda disappointing). This is one of the major areas in which a drastic change is sought in the new year ASAP! As most of my life plans revolve around getting this right, my attention quota for this area in 2012 is very high.

Joined Daystar Christian Centre at the start of the year and things started brightly. I soon got into my usual ideological self and started dropping services. Soon I wouldn’t attend service for weeks, except maybe when I had to pay tithes. My spiritual life still leaves much to be desired and I know there are people praying for me daily. I hope to kick myself up and really get started on the journey I was called for. Despite this, God has remained faithful. In the midst of all the sickness and diseases, I never had anything more than a headache and cold and catarrh making it 5 years (in October) since I had a major illness requiring an hospital visit or at least an injection! This is all to His Glory as He answered my prayer for divine health and remained faithful to it till this day, despite my failings. He’s truly an Awesome God! I will get back to winning ways in 2012 by His Grace. Amen.

As an aside, I stumbled on some eye-opening info both online and off which has kinda kept me in another level of spiritual awareness. Here is a link that might be helpful to all reading this: CARM.

2011 was a sorry year for Nigerian football with only the AYC trophy to show for an otherwise disappointing year. The failure of the two senior football teams to qualify for events means 2012 will be a very dull year for ardent supporters of Nigerian football. As for me, I have other interests so next year still holds enough excitement.

For the UEFA Championship next year, Spain remains my top choice but the best of this year has to go to the Dutch. They were very ruthless in qualification, dropping zero points. As far as clubs go, you should all know by now that I’m a Gunner so my team had it’s regular ups and downs. The lowest point of the year had to be the loss of the Carling Cup. Second to it is the 8-2 loss at Old Trafford. We’ve picked up well since then and we’ve done well to start our challenge for a top four finish. The team is now quite different from that of the last few seasons with a key quality being the new-found resilience. 2012 promises to be brighter than many would think.

My second team naturally is Barca (since Henry joined) and they’ve given me much joy. Just watching them play (win or lose) is such a wonderful experience. I’m a big fan of beautiful football (check the teams I support) and Barca provides the best of them all. Easily the best team in the world with the most outstanding footballer of his time in Messi, Barca have set the standard again in the year with 5 trophies. Starting the year with Messi given the Ballon D’Or meant only one thing: success is sure! Checking the other two contestants for the title explains why the team is what it is.

Talking individuals, my all-time favorite striker, Henry, is set to have a 2-month loan spell at his favorite club. That is a positive for us. My favorite player now, Messi, will be taking the Ballon D’Or again after a superlative 2011. Who else is better? My favorite Gunner now, RVP, has had the best year ever in his career, but in his case, the fear of injury is the beginning of wisdom for the Gunners. The player I love to hate, Ronaldo, has also returned to the form of his life and is now the top scorer for the year. Goalscoring is just second nature to the boy. Revelation of the year, Neymar, experienced the power of Barca firsthand and may have made up his mind. The truth is this, whichever club the rising star decides to join will have an extra ammunition over any key rivals. That’s his potential!

Other sports, Tennis was crazy in the women’s section as there were four different Grand Slam winners. All the big names kept falling apart while some returnees had a good year. For the men, Novak Djokovic confirmed time and again that he is a worthy No. 1. My favorite player, Federer, lost his mojo until after the Slams when he got back to trophy-winning ways. 2012 poses another challenge for the Swiss to return to the top. Boxing, the Klitschko brothers remain unbeatable. I didn’t follow athletics much this year so…

Overall, the spirit of sports is one that unites and gives us a platform to share something in common. 2011 was a great sporting year but 2012 (an Olympic year) will definitely provide more all-round excitement!

I lost my flair for the entertainment world in 2011. All the new artistes, new music and movies never really fascinated me. Just a few caught my attention with the biggest break on the Nigerian scene a certain WizKid. On the foreign level, I’m too used to my favorite artistes, 50 Cent & Em, so without anything major from them, I never really followed anything new. A worthy mention is 50 Cent’s StreetKing initiative. It’s a laudable project and looks to be making impact.

Another bright spot for Nigerian music was the BET Awards with the two best Nigerian artistes, 2face and D’Banj sharing honours. The BET HipHop Awards also featured cyphers from both female and male Nigerian hiphop artistes. It was very cool stuff noting that the last cypher featured at the same event came from the great Eminem and his crew.

Hollywood produced big budget movies with crazy effects the main feature in the movies these days. Transformers 3 had really mad effects. Final Destination 5 brought back another series of gory death scenes. Colombiana introduced a new Femme Fatale. I’m not in the best position to analyse any movie, much less picking the best in the year. I had an average movie year on the whole, never really getting excited over any particular one.

After cutting off a relationship in 2010 because I realised I wasn’t really in love with the girl I was supposedly ‘dating’, I fell in love myself, later that year, with someone that may not have loved me as much. Funny thing was, the best part of the relationship packed up with 2010. In 2011, it turned out to be a struggle. I learnt a lot of lessons though, and after a year, five different break-ups in the same relationship, and with the help of my ‘shrink’, we were able to dissolve it by mutual agreement which means we still remain friends.

I found love again shortly afterwards and, I know it’s too early to assess now, it looks like the real thing. This is to tell My Petite to look forward to a much better year in 2012. Loving her got me back on track quickly from the heartbreak of the previous relationship and I’ll forever be grateful for that. I won’t try to compare both ladies as they’ve got their strengths and weaknesses.

It is worth mentioning that I almost started a couple of new relationships, especially during the break-ups but none really worked out. Either I ended up backing out or the lady is just not available. In the long run, the end signalled a beginning.

I will just like to say a BIG Thank You to both ladies and all those who got involved in one way or another, especially my closest female friend, Annie.

In all, I thank God for all that happened in my life this year. I’m grateful for everyone that has been a part of my life. We’ve had a wonderful time together in 2011, the new year will definitely bring new hope and a chance for new things. Usher in the New Year with expectations of better things to come.

Remain Blessed!

The Season

Winter in Argentina

Winter in Argentina

Talking about seasons could be a very tricky issue. It could even get confusing. As it is, after hearing ‘the season’, I know what you’re all thinking (don’t bother asking how.) In any case, whatever seasons are on your mind, this is THE SEASON.

I could be talking about the Calendar Seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn (Fall) and Winter. Of all these seasons, this time, Winter is THE SEASON (for most of the Temperates.) Right now, it’s snowy, it’s cold, it’s freezing and could get almost unbearable. It’s the season of the blizzards and consequent heavy traffic jams. But it’s also the shopping season and the season of ‘new fun’. It’s the ONLY one with bobsledding, skiing, snowball and snowman. It also has the ice games; hockey, biking, fishing, diving and more. It’s the one with the Black Friday (this year having even some extra ‘Black’ days.) It’s officially the period of shorter days and loooongerrrr nights, you know what that means! *winks* (not of benefit to singles.) The season is unique in its own right and can be loved and hated.

I could also be talking about the Tropical Seasons: Wet (Rainy) and Dry (Harmattan). Of these, Dry Season is THE SEASON! It is the period of serious dryness (not in terms of jokes though.) No rains, yay! Wait a minute, it means no growing as all plants need rain. Well, yea, it’s the harvest season, silly! Time to literally reap the fruits, tubers and seeds of labour (talking to farmers here.) It’s the season that also carries with it a feeling of renewal, as it always signals the turn of the year. We often take this to a whole new level, renewing everything humanly and physically possible from houses and cars to hairs and wears, leaving out the most important parts, our thought processes, our minds. Along that line, this season often starts the time of the resolutions and brings along the sense of planning. It’s the season where food preservation is easiest but also carries with it its own peculiar health issues. Love it or hate it, it is the season.

Season Talk could also refer to the football season. Right now, THE SEASON is the 2011/2012 Season and a lot has happened. A couple of teams have had a resurgent run after a dismal opening to the season. Top of these is AC Milan who now top the Serie A going into the new year. Another is Dortmund who, despite failing in their Champions League journey, are already within touching distance of the excellent Bayern side. Also part of this group of ‘Resurgents’ is Arsenal (my team, 😉 ). Low point: 8-2 loss away to Man. U in August, high point: 5-3 win away at Stamford Bridge in October. That defines the kind of season the Gunners have had, sitting pretty just behind the Top Four going into Christmas and looking good enough to retain the spot, at least. Surprise teams have also brought in their share of excitement with Montpellier being a key team having led the Ligue 1 for a period now going on the winter break just second on the log. Levante is probably the surprise of the season, of all. Topping a league with the two best teams in the world, even if for a short spell, is no mean feat. Not even the perennial head of ‘the other league’, Valencia, could boast of that. Yet, the newbies have achieved that with the Galacticos as one of their casualities in a surging run. They have a Champions League spot as compensation though as the break comes in, so ‘fluke’ may not be an appropriate description of their achievements so far. Newcastle also showed some guts in the crazy EPL that took quite a while to settle. Even the mighty Red Devils lost their unbeaten run before the Toons. They went as high as third in the league with many thinking the Big Six (days of the Big Four are over) might be shaken. Injury to key squad members mean they keep a place behind the Six and will certainly retain it into the new year. A big disappointment for many this season would be the ‘Clasico’ as many expected a change in the norm as Madrid showed the spirit of true ‘Galacticos’ winning ten games at a stretch. But the story remained the same as Barca ran the show as usual after a nervy first half for them. Real still tops the table though going into the new year so the battle is still on! As far as players go, Messi is set to receive his third World’s Best Player title after a consistent show of class. No doubt, there’s no one better at the moment. Van Persie still keeps people wondering why he wasn’t on the world players shortlist. He’s set to break the great Henry’s record of EPL goals in a year as he has already equaled the 34 held by the former King of Highbury with two matches to spare. Neymar remains the hotcake of the season so far and may have decided where his heart is in Europe. This season has provided so much excitement and heartbreak, yet the business end promises to be on another level entirely!

Another season that can be referred to could be in terms of what you do with cash. Spending or Saving. For most of us, Spending Season is THE SEASON now (only geniuses know how to have a Saving Season at this time and most of us are definitely not!) As stated previously, we tend to plan a sort of regeneration every year end so this season has spending written all over it. It’s normal that the ladies spend more at this time of the year but thinking about the fact that 90% of the cash comes from the guys, it is safe to say guys spend exceedingly more during this season. Spending season is the season of renewal. (Almost) Everything magically turns new. Santa couldn’t do better magic. New houses (ok, it’s just new paint but who cares), new settees & electronics (the big boys do this), new clothes, shoes & hairs (ladies’ specialty) and more. Even the streets start looking new. Companies are not left out of the carnival, planning image changes and all. The spending season is IT! (Except you’re a broke ass sha. Ask me.)

Finally, I’m talking about the Festive Season of Christmas. This is THE SEASON! It’s the season to celebrate. It’s the season of fun and laughter. It’s the season of genuine, heartfelt love and care. This season brings a lot of happiness and joy regardless of your situation. Forget the other seasons, this is the TRUE season! It’s the season of hope, salvation and faith. It’s the season we all look forward to regardless of age, gender, race or class. In our own little ways, we always find something to be grateful for this season. Sharing becomes fun and friendship takes new meaning. Family stays top and work gives way to relaxation. We all love to be here and now that we are, let’s make it worth the while. It won’t be here for too long so let’s make the most of it. Let your anger last only for a fleeting breath and give no space to sadness. Let your smile create a world record on its own and let others around you feel the positive spirit of the season. Share something special with someone new and make life a little bit more bearable for someone you can help. Let your family know how much you love them and let your friends understand how much you miss them when they’re not there. In all, this is THE SEASON to make things happen! Be fulfilled! Touch someone’s life! Enjoy THE SEASON!

Still want me to tell you what’s on your mind? Wait till next season. :p

Taking this time to wish you all Happy Holidays! I love you all and I know we’ll have a more wonderful 2012. Thank you for a beautiful 2011.

Season’s Greetings!!!

My wishes for you!

My wishes for you!

I’ve been off here for a while now and it had to do with a whole lot of different things. Last week was a very busy week for me so I never really got the time to think up what to write. I know, I was actually very lazy about it but really it wasn’t a week that I could think creatively in the area of writing so I never bothered. The zodiac posts and jokes have also suffered out of my laziness to even open my blog. Anyway, I’m back and, funny enough, my post today has something to do with the ‘busy’ week.

Winning…everyone loves it! It’s a fact! When you were in high school and those snobs called you a loser is actually different from playing the game and really losing. See, everyone likes to identify with a winner. That’s when you hear people who you’ve never met before tell you things that you don’t even know about yourself. My friend does that all the time. Being an entrepreneur, he likes to make the right connections, so he studies successful people he wants to get in touch with. He gleans all he can about them and when he finally gets the chance to meet them, he talks to them about things they sometimes haven’t even heard about themselves and there he gets their attention. Sincerely, if you want to be successful in any field, you need mentors and the right connections. This is a winning method!

Through one of those connections, my friend got a job to set up at an event for one of those successful guys. This is #Winning!. Well, the main gist is that yours truly got invited to the same event. I was actually part of my friend’s crew to the event (I’ve got lots of affiliations o.) Anyway, we had just wrapped up at a very successful high class 3-day event (told you last week was busy) and taken a single day rest (spent planning and strategizing). So this particular event (an overnite party) was a little tasking but my friend, being extremely passionate about his business and highly energetic, kept providing the needed ‘ginger’. We were ready before the event started and the early birds were already feeling the touch of ‘gaming with class’ we offered.

Party started and things were going smoothly. The M.C. was on point and the various acts invited on stage did their best. Now, a key part of the event was a raffle draw to hold at the latter part. The ushers brought the raffle sheets for us to fill in our details (#Winning marketing strategy.) Note here that I never like to do these raffle and promo things as I never get to win. But seeing as this one costs me nothing more than putting pen to paper, I did and dropped the sheet on a table somewhere. I continued with whatever I was doing before, playing games, chatting with friends, scoping those chicks in skirty and leggy things.

Suddenly, as the show was winding down, the guy handling the raffle draw (Kunle Afolayan, if you know him), drew out the first sheet and called out the name. I wasn’t concentrating at first but when I heard “Going, going, gone!”, as the person failed to respond, I felt he just called my name and I’d missed out on the prize. Amazingly, the next sheet he brought announced turned out to be…yea, you guessed right, Yours Truly! I was so surprised to hear my name ring out in the vast hall with everyone waiting to see who the #Winning! name belonged to. I ran and almost fell on my way with the crowd going “Haaaa!!!” I got on stage, verified my phone number and received the prize. #Winning feels good I tell you!

At that point, it actually didn’t matter to me if I’d won a pen or a car (I was hoping it was an iPad2 sha o), the fact that there were so many people in that hall and I was singled out, albeit in a raffle, as a winner, meant more. #Winning brings such a great positive feeling. All my friends were grinning from ear to ear. While I was walking back, I heard a guy say, “Bros, na both of us dey play game there na. How far?” #Winning! 😉

I guess you’re expecting me to say that I suddenly woke up from the dream feeling down but nothing like that happened! :P. This one is real life. I did win something in a raffle after all these years of trial and error. The days of collecting Maggi wrappers, Maltina raffle draws, Coca-Cola promos, even 7-Up sef! I’d given up that I’m just not born to win anything with some sort of lottery attached to it. Now I have new hope. Baba Ijebu is looking like a potential pot of gold! *side eye*

Well, that’s my little #Winning story. In all, what I want you to know is #Winning really does feel good and I want that thot to drive you to achieve. The key part of this story is that #Winning takes strategy and planning. You need to know what you’re doing. Find your passion and roll with it. My friend is pushing his and I can tell you he’s #Winning all the way. You’ll hear enough about him, about us, next year, just watch out! Our mentality is #Winning! Make it yours too!

This is a little toast to the LaKraft Entertainment crew who made last week interesting for me. Krafty (C.E.O.), Oaktan (C.O.O.), Sarah, Elesh and Opa, we’re #Winning all the way! Bigger things to come!

Signing Out!!!

A Letter From December

I was thinking of doing an ‘Ideas Rule’ post but I had no idea what ideas I wanted to write about (such an irony!) But while I was waiting for some last-minute inspiration, I got this letter. I just had to put it up as my mind was still drawing blanks like Marouane Chamakh. A lil’ warning tho’, the guy dey vex o!

*In Frank’s voice* The write-up you shall read from now on shall be that of December’s. Good luck!!
Dear People,

It’s so nice that you guys are excited about me. In fact, I’m excited that you’re excited about me, or am I? Should I really be?! Seeing as it is the ‘end of the year’, I guess you’d suggest I should be, abi? See your head! You’ve forgotten that I ALWAYS see the ‘end of the year’ whether you’re there or not! I am AT the ‘end of the year’ all the time. That is my location. It is where I live. Mind you, it doesn’t mean I’m happy about it, no. I mean, who’d be happy always carrying last?! The moron that is putting up this post actually made sense in his very first post here when he talked about being ‘in the middle of the pack’, just like Malcolm.

Anyway, this letter is not about me complaining all the way about being last. As you’re well acquainted, carrying last (as a month o) has its benefits. I’m probably the most talked about month in the year and I also belong to the ‘elite’ group of ‘Ember’ months. In fact, that’s where my beef for you guys start. Most of you hate being stereotyped, yet you do the same to this ‘elite’ group. For instance, if you see a ‘tribal-marked’ person in Lagos and you assume that he is a regular mumu, and treat him as such, you will have a big fight on your hands! But you people are so prejudiced against the ‘Ember’ months that you hold special crusades with special prayer points nullifying all the ‘evil’ carried by the ‘Ember’ months. Its so crazy! Na we dey push you to get accidents ni? Simple explanation, some people get over-excited about the end of the year too early and run themselves into bushes, trees, over the bridges and even into other people! I mean, its annoying you have to blame all that on us, especially as such things still happen even more in other months. I know we’re ‘elite’ in every sense of the word, and therefore, are prone to being put in the spotlight but you guys should just recognise that we’re not really that bad. You guys should take it easy when you get to us but not necessarily more than other months. We’re just like every other month o, except that we’re elite sha. Hehehehe!

Now, coming to the ‘stigma’ you attach to me, I seriously don’t like it at all. You people make me out to be the month that turns you to broke asses at the turn of the year. That is a very bad slander! I’m very much peeved! You wake up on the first and start planning how you’ll get broke before the year runs out then blame it all on me! It’s so annoying, especially because I never get to even spend shi-shi! You decorate your houses, buy new clothes, shoes, cars, gadgets, problems, and so on, then you complain that December took your money! Can’t you just see how vain you guys are?! Did I ever ask you to do all those sh*t?! I dey vex o! Anyway, as a gentle-month, I’d simply explain how it’s seriously a problem with you people and should never be associated with me. After all the time I’ve taken to explain all these things, I expect no single complaint from you with my name attached to it, ever again, or else…! (Purposely left hanging, still deciding on repercussions.)

First thing you need to understand is that though you were taught to number your days, the reason is solely to know how to give thanks (birthdays inclusive). There are not ‘so special’ days that you actually have to spend by force. If you never knew, I was once the tenth month of the year (and I was quite happy with that) which actually always started then in March, until was it Gregory or Julius decided to do ojoro and upgrade January to first. See, preferential treatment didn’t just occur among you people, you had to bring that virus to us. Needless to say, I and January haven’t been friends for a while now. Well, that’s an issue for another day. But the fact is you guys don’t have to (pretend to) treat me specially. I’ll say it again, I’m just ANOTHER MONTH!!!

Have you ever noticed how Xmas Day and New Year’s Day aren’t exactly different from every other day (beyond the names)? Yea, that’s right, it’s because they really aren’t. You wake up the same way, breath the same air, walk the same road, eat the same way, see the same faces, speak the same way, watch the same T.V., and all what not! Now tell me exactly what makes the days special. It’s just how you feel inside. A deep sense of appreciation, a kind gesture towards others, help rendered to the less privileged, words of affection for loved ones, culminating in buying of gifts for those cherished, often marks those days. My argument is, why must it be just on those days? Don’t you think if you practice these things daily, the world would be a better place? Ok, even if it’s just one day every week or even in a month sef. At least, you people will stop rushing about for ‘end of the year’ cash to keep impressing other people and end up killing yourselves in all the madness while blaming us for it.

Imagine if you thought of years as a never ending string of days, there’d simply be no New Year’s Days & probably Xmas’s and all the senseless rush would stop. I really think that you guys should think more in days than months or years. God actually created day & night for a reason. He did things he had to do PER DAY (including rest). The long and short of it all is that the days are more important than the months or years! Use the latter for long-term timing & planning and use the former for actions. Stop reserving your best for some special ‘end of the year’ period, give it every single day! It’s just as simple as that! That way, we will all be better for it.

After all is said and done, never forget that I’m still a special month and treat me accordingly. Thank you for taking time out to read (even if it is for your good.) Like I said before, I expect no further complaints with my name in it. Share with your family, friends, colleagues, enemies and even those idiots who don’t like to read. Force them if you have to, it is for their own good too, even if it is how you’ll start your own daily actions. No further warning will be provided! Chikena!

Till some other time.

There you have it. And the stupid thing called me a moron. If I fit catch am now, ehn… Anyway, it’s up to you guys to decide how to react to his words (I’m assuming he’s male by default.) So, me I’m done here o. Let me go in search for stuff for ‘Ideas Rule’ (I’m open to hints sha.)

Thank you!
